Statement or question?
Wheel size is great but tire size is too tall, consider going to a 245/40R17 tire if you haven't gone to this setup already. Your combo is an inch taller than stock and will affect gearing, acceleration and speedo accuracy. |

even tho my acceleration has decreased im still faster off the line than most brz's with light mods. not as much wheel spin. top speed increased. smoother ride. speedo is deff way off... reads a lower speed than the true speed. yes it makes the handling worse 2 cause ur up a bit higher. but i have performance bracing to fix that and its even better. i like a decent size profile tire for the street what can i say? |

Maybe, don't know for sure, but check here: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=25171 Both F & R should easily clear the struts though not sure about the fenders. |

quick question. currently have 18x9.5 +38 on 245 40 18 all around. have rear cusco arms and bolts up front for camber adjustments. Also am on KW v3 with drop height that came straight from the box. didnt touch the coils to go lower. the height seemed good to me straight from the box.
rear is currently -1.8 front is -1.3. Looking to go 18x9.5 +40 so +2 on the offset all around. Will I need to run more camber to make it fit? or will i be fine slapping the tires on the wheels and driving with the current camber setup. thanks guys! bonus lol: will i be able to fit a larger tire such as a 255 40 18 (i chose this because i only use falken rt615 or nt05) without MAJOR camber adjustments? |

Need some input from expert regarding just tire & rim fitting question only, assume no rubbing issue. I have a pair of 265x35x18 evo12 and I try to mount it on 18x8.5 rear rim for one of my car, and I plan to order 235x40x18 ev12 to fit on 18x8 front rim. Will that cause any problem for over size tire for the rim. (The oem tire for that was 255 and 225), so it just basically a 10mm bump for each.

Okay I just ordered some 18x8.5+48 squared weds sport sa-15r. I plan on getting 245/35/18 tires, would this work? Also considering getting 10mm spacers for rears to have equal amount of slight sunk. What do yall think?

Best way to find out are visiting the tire manufacturer website and look up the width requirement for the tire. It should give you a range of suggested wheels width. Mark |
