Wind noise is normal, but this is something else. Plus the noise showed up suddenly after owning the car for 3 months. The noise becomes clearly audible at 60 km/h (37 mph), so I don't even have to go that fast.

I see. I can remember one time I got my windows tinted that I heard some wind noise, if I recall correctly the seal on the bottom of the window was not properly put back. Maybe check that?

Aren't they all crazy .....

I don't believe wind noise in an FR-S is "normal" ..... at least I don't hear any ..... of course, according to mrs humfrz, I don't hear a lot of things ....

I know people have had issues with their windows in this car, but mine seem to be fine. And I would think that if it was the window seal, the noise would be there constantly when I'm moving, but noise is only there when I'm moving AND I'm in gear. No noise if I push the clutch in while moving and even rev. The noise is only there when I'm in gear. :/

This car is very loud compared to a Benz. Even after dynamat & acoustic insulation I don't think mine is that quiet.

Just a weird thought. Have you removed, or messed with, the factory sound tube? It goes through the firewall on the passenger side and if you do not plug, or cap, the hole it will be wide open. Possibly some wind is getting blown past the hole and causing the whistle? Maybe the grommet is cracked/broken?

Unlikely. I had the TRD intake and TRD exhaust installed prior to delivery so the sound tube was gone before I even got the car. And this noise is quite clearly coming from the back of the car.

Sooooo....took it to the dealership for the THIRD time and this time I left the car with them because there were other issues they were going to fix, like the rear deck popping noise, and the little rattles here and there, and do my first oil and filter change (all FREE )
I was supposed to get the car back at the end of the day but they couldn't figure out the source of the noise so they're going to keep it with them. Hopefully they figure this out soon because I miss my baby already.

I believe what your hearing is induction noise, sounds like a high pitch whistle or air flowing through a tube sound whenever you gas it. It's normal they say.

Induction noise coming from the back of the car?
Also, the noise wasn't there for more than 3 months of me owning the car.
