A: the kit does not include or require the use of an engine oil cooler. A complete engine oil cooler kit will be available and released by Skunk2 at the end of November.

Q: I saw there was one (oil cooler) for the rotrex AND for the engine. Is that true?
A: the rotrex oil cooler is included with the kit.
Have KW done any track testing with this SC kit installed WITHOUT an engine oil cooler? I can't believe this kit would prevent engine oil temps from going north of 270F with sustained track time in summer heat just as they do in an n/a application with a stock engine. Where is the Rotrex cooler mounted?

Congrats!...people will debate it, but you definitely purchased the best of the three rotrex kits available.

KW has not track tested without oilcooler or radiator upgrare. Given the brz/frs inherent cooling problems , I don't why anyone would want to even test their stock cooling system under heavy track use. There is a saying...penny wise , pound foolish...if you are going to track your car, upgrade the cooling system (oil cooler, radiator) it's a lot cheaper than risking melting down the engine...if pushed hard enough I would even upgrade the rotrex oil cooler as well

Also...for those that want to make the oil cooler sandwich adapter an issue...it really is not or should be an issue. skunk2 will be offering a complete oil cooling solution and offering it to kit owners at a discount. The sandwich adapter will also be available separately at a reasonable price. Skunk2 will also be offering two different radiator solutions at a discount to KW kit owners
