Think at least $23k for the FR-S. Mark my words Bespoke will be standard. So that is why I am pricing it a bit higher. No way this car will ever be $21k. Thats below a Honda Civic Si coupe. They maybe making us wait but we all kinda know what the range is going to be. We hope...hehe! We could get a surprise and see this..but I doubt it... Hoping for this.... FR-S $22.5K with Bespoke BRZ Premium $23,500 with Nav BRZ Limited $25.5K with everything But more likely it will be this... FR-S $23K with Bespoke BRZ Premium $24 with Nav BRZ Limited $26K with everything |

Also, a veteran Scion rep who has been there since the brand's inception in '03 and attends regional meetings with corporate "higher ups" tells me this will be a highly exclusive car sold in extremely limited quantity. Dealers would be lucky to get 1 or 2 a month; some won't get any. FR-S will be exclusive among Scions as LFA is exclusive among Lexuses (somewhat exaggerated but same gist). Because of that, I think it's invalid to compare tC prices. "FR-S" isn't even 2 letters like all other Scion models. The Scion badge is only for marketing and I don't see it as an exception/excuse for it to be priced lower than the rest of the world since core costs are coming from the same pot as the 86/GT 86 overseas.

^Actually you're right. I test drove the 1st gray manual tC in my region (from same dealer I mentioned) in Summer '04. Quantity was very limited 1st few months but eventually filled up so it's all sales talk. Will probably be the same for FR-S. Sadly, this doesn't change the fact it's coming from the same pot as the high $20k 86/GT 86.

I have a feeling you guys with the prices is going to be disappointed. I think it will be closer to 24k for the FR-S with destination charge. I think it's going to mirror the Mx5 base price
FRS manual $23,250+750 dest. FRS auto $24,250+750 dest. This car will be at least 4k more than a Tc even though the Tc comes with more standard features. |

From insideline.com
Toyota GT 86 Starts at $39,400 in the U.K. By Paul Lienert, Correspondent | Published Feb 3, 2012
LONDON — Toyota continues the global rollout of its retro-inspired 86 sports car, with the two-seater slated to go on sale in the U.K. in June, badged as the GT 86 and priced from just under $40,000. Toyota on Friday said $39,400 is the "entry, on-the-road price" for the GT 86. Dealers in the U.K. already have begun taking orders. Production starts in March for the Japanese domestic market, where prices for the car — called simply Toyota 86 — will range from $25,600 for a bare-bones "customizable" model to $38,200 for the top-of-the-line GT Limited edition. In the U.S., the Toyota 86 morphs into the Scion FR-S. Stickers haven't been officially announced, but Toyota has said prices will start from less than $30,000. Inside Line says: Prices, like the car itself, are all over the map.
