BRZ Premium $24K with Nav
BRZ Limited $26K with everything
I wish everything could be another 1k lower from your prediction, but it will probably be the other way around.

I'm sticking to mine

FR-S $22K with Bespoke or 21K starting MSRP
BRZ Premium $23,500 with Nav
BRZ Limited $26K with everything

I've come to think that they have studied price perfection for the U.S. already, and are so confident their price will rock, they are making us wait on purpose.

I Pray that you are correct Snoopy, but for some odd reason i got the feelings that were going to have to hunt down these cars in the first two years. And i mean this world wide

Well, the US is more than a micro-climate, more like hell on earth.. but i won't get into that too much

But when i was backpacking through Europe, the UK put the biggest dent on my wallet by far, from hostel costs, to food (quality/quantity per pound), cigarettes (for fucks sake you have packages of SIX, and they were like 5 pounds), public transit and for the love of god why don't your streets have names on them.

although this was London so maybe it was a big city thing...

my cheapest stay was in Barcelona, my hostel cost me 18 euros a day and aside from the fact that i had 4 other people in my room the accommodation would rival any 4 star hotel. The convenience store sold heineken cans at 1 dollar a pop, i got hammered like a bauss.

anyway.. carry on

What makes you think it won't have an LSD here? I can't see them changing that one thing for the US market, and it doesn't fit with the concept around this platform.

Well, I plan on buying one after the 2 year it's out anyways. Though I do feel bad for those who aren't part of the first 86 and want one as soon as they arrive at dealers, because like you said, we're going to have to hunt them down.

i could have been reading the spec sheet wrong, but to me it seemed that the japanese RC trim level (ie, the bare bones one, with unpainted bits) was lacking a factory installed LSD.

which makes sense, since for track orientated people OEM torsens are meh at best, so why pay for an LSD when you're just going to drop in an aftermarket one

The whole suspension has been built and tuned around that LSD - there's no way they can just cut it out and expect to have a good handling car, they'd have to spend a good deal of time and money re-tuning.

ehh? KAAZ/CUSCO lsd, drop 1500 bones and install it in less than an hour, no tuning required.

switch clutches based on preference, but really it's not like tuning your shocks or engine. LSD is pretty much a "bolt-on".

just a very expensive one.

I think that 25kŁ is good price. It is diesel avensis money, and you cant expect to have 200hp sportscar cheaper than normal family car.

Edit: And i bet LSD is standar in every spec outside japan. It was only option in some cheap, automatic transmission grade in japan.

Exactly! EU pricing isn't a direct translation to North American pricing. Heck, even the pricing in Canada isn't a direct translation to USA. There are lots of import/export rules [for each country] that affect the pricing.

Toyota Japan always amaze me, nearly every model in their range comes with an AWD option, they will probably do it for the 86 as well but only with the 1.5 litre engine .
