will SSR SP1's fit 18x9.5 +5 and 18x8 +0. I don't mind a slight roll but is the offset too extreme?

It has more of an issue with the wheel offset, at +42 it pushes the whole wheel/tire right against the strut. You may need to run a spacer to get adequate clearance to clear the spring perch. But the narrower tire may help as the tire is closest component to the strut.

Read the above thread in its entirety if you are planning to run this combo.

Yes, great tire size for that wheel.

I'm gonna guess the 18x8 are the fronts and 18x9.5 rears?
These offsets are pretty extreme, probably suited well for a Rocket Bunny kit.

Most guys (stock body) running really aggressive setups are in the +20 to +25 range but they also run aggressive camber to make it work.

Have a look at this thread to see but I don't see that offset at all working on a stock body:

17x9 +42 is the issue, not the tire size i think. If the wheel/tire will rub the suspension, and u stretch a smaller tire, the rim will still rub.

Whichever you want. Both are a non-issue.

I'm aware of the figment non issue, was just trying to get some feedback on looks either way. I'm leaning toward the 45 cause that would only push out the rim 16mm.

So my forgestars should be coming in soon what size tires should I go with to avoid any rubbing

wheels: forgestar f14s 18x9 +36 all around
want a little meatier than stock tires and probably the same all around opened to staggered if people think it will be better

Correct, the +45 will look fairly stock-ish since this car has so much room in the wheel wells. If you like a little more of a wide stance, I think +35 would look good.

Right now, I'm on 17x8 +48 with spacers, so effectively my offsets are +22 F and +23 R. The front pokes a tad more than I'd like but the rear is perfect to me.

I don't have an "after" pic handy, but here's what it looked like without spacers (so only 3mm in from yours).

Perfect. I'm good to go. I'll post pics when they get on.
