The subaru OE part for the mirror has an update, free under warranty at your dealer, comes with a new spring and better hardware

get it
both our cars have had the mirrors dangling

Based on the weight of the homelink mirror, I dont care for a 'blend mount' for your V1 in your 86, that mirror lug really needs to be bigger and the glass is paper thin too

I stick with v1 suction cups on the windsheild and dont want to add any weight to the mirror

does anyone have the gizmo that lets you see the bandwidth of the signal your v1 sees on your smartphone-thats cool stuff!

The first week I bought this car I had the same issue with my V1. It fit perfect on the dot matrix above the mirror. Problem was it just kept coming down.

I went to the local tint shop and asked for a scrap piece of 3M clear bra material. Cut it to match the pattern of the dot matrix and squeegeed it in place. Stuck the suction cups of the V1 to the clear bra material and it has been perfect ever since. Can't even see the film.

Had tried that when i first got the car with packing tape.

Did not smooth the dimples enough to work.

Also, if you get pulled over and a cop sees the radar detector, your chance of getting a ticket for speeding is much greater than if he doesn't know you have a radar detector.

You can see where mine mounts in the pic below.

What company is that from?
