So to all who follow this thread the body shop called back today and the good news is that the car does not have any frame damage and will be fixed a soon as the parts come in.i have one question what is this part and can it be replaced.

That looks like a support piece. I don't know the technical name of it but that is not frame related so you don't need to worry. Good luck and sorry to see this happen to you!

same thing happen to me long time ago.. rear end by a drunk driver..the whole trunk was flatten to the rear tires... was a very hard impact and the car was total.. just luck to be alive.. if i got t-bone with that kind of damage i would of been dead glad your ok thats all that matters

i'm in tears for you man... my car is also an ultramarine and it's so painful to look at those pictures.

this is the reason why i installed a dashcam. i'm looking to get another facing rearward.

goodluck and i'm sure everything will work out.

once everything is fixed make sure you get it check out agian.. especially alignment.. you subframe may look fine but im sure it might be slight tweaked out but if you got t-boned im sure that will tweak you subframe..

I was hit from behind and pushed to another car not t boned the guy said that there is no frame damage what im asking is if there is a chance that the car wont drive the same

I was rear ended as well (dude wasn't going 50, closer to 35), and while she didn't feel the same at first, I think it was because I'd been driving crappy rental cars for more than a month. She does feel great now though, tracks straight and true.
