What brand/model are your 245/35s? Can you snap a pic of wheel edge to show how they fill? Tire edge to wheel edge gap "if any"..
Was your reasoning for this size cause you are really low and worried of clearance? I really don't want to stretch more then existing 255 size..
Thx

Continental ExtremeContact DW's summer tires. I should have a pic floating around here somewhere where I showed the tire to rim gap. These weren't stretched hardly at all.

The reason I went with this size is because after using miata.net and the tire tool on here, these were the size that wouldn't throw off my speedometer.

Now that I have coils, I may consider going 255-265 now, but probably stick with 35 sidewall as 40 is probably a bit much and I'd have to adjust ride height again.

If this helps at all, I'm running 255/35R18 with my 18x9.5 square. I'm not entirely sure how much lower I am than stock because I did a lot of adjusting. No rubbing during DD at all. Incredible amounts of grip. Slight rubbing on really hard cornering or if the corner is cambered. Im running BFG sport comp 2s. I think they are a truer fit. 265 would be square fit on 9.5.

for reference:

No regrets. Negatives are rubbing issues depending on tire size and offset.

Looks great. A fender to hub measurement would help get an idea of how much it's lowered

Yes and thanks to all that are offering their experience. Seems if I choose a coil setup with room and stay 255/35/18 "slight" stretch with 9.5" I'd be 100% safe. I wanted really to consider but more sidewall and to get the tire better flush to wheels edge but seems then it becomes "maybe" more then anything.

What kind of offsets and camber are you 18x9.5 guys running?

Does the car camber in enough in front that just front crash bolts will work as you lower it or are camber plates a must?

Just curious.

with +35 all around, the rear natural camber works fine for me but in the front i'm maxed camber which is about -3. the front for me is slightly lower than the rear which is why i need that much camber. I think for the front, you'll need camber plates either way because they will poke with 9.5

Any ideas on fender modification? Not too worried about responsiveness, as the f14's are very light for their size, I think under 20 lb

edit: also, would there be any inner clearance issues (ie rubbing fender liners) with kw v3's?
anybody?

If you lower you'll get some negative for free anyway. Depending on the drop it shouldn't be too super pokalicious.
