I had a mishimoto leak from exactly the same spots with the same "coolant smell but could never find a leak"

I just buy OEM radiators now.

As embarrassing as it is for me I think we have come to the conclusion that this was caused by a foreign object inside the engine bay....I think I left a hose clamp that fell under the IM the other day. I was a professional bicycle mechanic for several years, so I like to think I know my way around tools, and how to work on things, so this is really embarrassing for me.
