I had to do some research into the boeing spec - seems legit. regular simple green is corrosive to aluminum. that is not and it is not harmful to paint/clear coats it seems

If you insist on daily driving with track pads I think you're gonna continually have this problem.

Can I ask why you daily drive track pads?

I'm not the OP, but I prefer the bite. I only use pads with friendly brake dust, so a simple pressure spray will get it off, or a light brushing at most.

Don't know what wheels you have, but Sonax works very well on mine - see here:

As others have stated, once clean apply wheel wax, makes cleaning them easy. If you see a lot of heat, the wheel wax may only last 3-5 washes though (my experience, but worth it to me).

These wilwood race pads...ughh I spent about 45 minutes trying to clean the front two. With a ton of different brushes. Anything more serious it will take the finish off and leave scratch marks:

^^ yeah that's nasty stuff. I think honestly the only way to really get rid of them is to change the color of the wheel so nobody notices how awfully dirty it is. Get black or gunmetal wheels, or go the cheap route and plasti-dipping them.

I know that's not solving the issue, but it is helping the issue before it comes up.
