Getting the car back from the dealer - haven't seen it yet but it looks like they were able to switch out the hose with one of the correct ID - will take pictures and post a little later tonight on what the change was - hopefully this takes.

Back from the dealership - what ended up being replaced was the entire hose from the metal fitting to the side of the sensor coupling. Pictures are attached - they reused the clamp, but it's not tightened on very tight and I can physically see the bulge in the rubber hose - gives me a feel good on the seal being created. See pictures for the changes, sorry I don't have any before but it used to look very close to the DIY pics, as that was what I was working from in the beginning.

That's a great dealer you got. I can see some others telling you they won't touch that flex fuel kit with a ten foot pole.

Agreed, what dealership is that? I had to take my WRX to one of the Columbus dealerships back in the day when I broke down in the area and they were terrible. It sounds like your dealership really stepped up though!

Byers Dublin Subaru, on the North side. Hetfield is the only other Subaru dealer I know of in town, haven't ever had to deal with them. Ordered the car through them and waited 6 months, they have been a great dealership to go to, but I'd like to think I'm a pretty reasonable customer as well - they treat me decent and I tell others about the experience, win win like it should be

I have @Visconti's 290LPH fuel pump installed and I'm not experiencing any leaks. Hope he'll chime in on the hose issue. I did notice that the provided hose did go on quite easily when installing, which usually isn't the case when working with fuel lines. Typically gotta wrangle those suckers into place.

I'm sure John will make it right.

Yeah, I know John was planning on sending out a connector update to the first rounders of the group buy - the picture he had looks complex. I kinda like what the dealership was able to do for me - just their stock fuelline hose run into the fitting provided in the kit, and it looks like they used some type of compound to help slide the hose down onto the metal fuel tube - all in all matching the stock fitting much better.

If you haven't installed it yet, I'd consider not using the hose John provided from the metal fitting to the sensor and source your own with a thicker wall and smaller inner diameter, or wait for the new connector John cooked up.

Well, my setup is also leaking, from the same place as others. I did the double clamp setup like some one did here and for now no leak.

I'm very uncomfortable with this issue. I don't understand why John didn't use the same kind of fittings like the other connections. This needs to be resolved before a car catches on fire.
