No luck, the line is now just leaking - having it towed to the dealership so they can try and resolve

John, can you give us a quick note on what this replaces within the original kit, if anything? My car is at the dealer, waiting on a call back from them but I'm betting they are going to want to take it back to stock to "fix" the problem - wondering how easy of a fix this will be to do on the spot, either for them or me in the parking lot

To me it looks like there is an additional AN fitting on the end of the line we are clamping. Meaning there may be an adapter (compression fitting) on the hardline as well. Nice.

Ugh. Really? Where is it leaking? I'm guessing the hard line connection. Def gonna have to double-check that hose.

Yup, metal hardline failed. 3 weeks or so with no issues, then just gave in today. It had been very very hot/humid until this morning - got to the light and smelled e85, then pulled over and saw the leak - went to tighten down the clamp and it became a river. Shut the car off, and called the tow truck - the car is at the dealer at the moment, and I'm waiting on what they tell me.

At this point, I'm on the fence - I believe the dealer is going to want to revert the line in the engine bay, and bypass the sensor. If they do that, I'm probably gonna need John to get me a e85 only tune for me to runout the 3/4 tank of e85 that's in it currently..... either that or when they drain the line, drain the tank, then pull the harness and re-flash with 1.14 pumpgas. Either way, not a good situation and my car is DOA at the moment.

Just got back from talking to the tech, they seemed confident it could be resolved, so far I think plan of action is to replace the line from the metal hardline to the sensor, if they can't find a clamp that will properly seal it up. It looks like using that ID for the hose was a little too large/skinny - after reading up a bit 8t seems that the combination of rubber line and metal lip should form the seal, the clamp is there to simply reinforce the hose. Fix seems to be either a different ID hose, or the change over to a hardened connection it looks like John is going after. Either way, if you have it installed be careful! I don't want to hear about cars going boom....

The new fitting looks good, much more secure and the thin wall of the hose won't be a problem with that set up. @Visconti, will us Aussies be able to get that fitting for the engine side connection as well?

I was playing around with a section of the hose last night with new clamps and the hose really wrinkles up when pressure is applied to it, hence the leaks when you tighten it further. Double clamping seems to fix that.

I'll be driving around gingerly until the new fitting gets sent out.......

I know that there's been plenty of posts about people having fuel leaks and there aren't many people running this kit right now, so I'd like to hear from anyone who hasn't had any issues with a fuel leak and/or sensor adhesive failure.

I haven't had any issue with the leak but I reused the clamp that came with the car, it just looked like a better clamp.

Haven't had any issues with the adhesive tape, but what I did before installing it, I warmed it up with my heat gun, heat and pressing it down for about a minute did the trick.
