you can wire the aem meth kit into the ecu and have ecutek controll it failsafe cw. you can also have it switch to a non meth map on the fly when bottle runs low or the system just flat out fails

And as above, if you have a W/M map, you have a straight fuel map too. So plug in, flash, and go. W/M, with a good failsafe, is surprisingly easy to live with. |

At this point the tune isn't that crazy like ragged edge status. We did a run on the dyno with the meth off but running the meth tune. Only a tiny bit of timing correction happened. Turning up the heat soon as I am getting more confident the system is working predictably/reliably.

That's super rich alright. My AEM UEGO didn't even read richer than 10:1. I'd stay out of open loop until you get a revised tune. Thanks for the info. I am very interested in just how good or bad the base tunes are.

I didn't look at my first revision log but I never recall seeing richness of that magnitude. I will have to check it out.

No it is its own ecu that analyzes flow and sends out failsafe signals to whatever you want (12V or ground).

Once I get my tune finalized I will put it into virtual dyno to see what comes up. I know it doesn't mean much since its not 100% accurate but I do have data logs from being NA and the only difference is I added the supercharger, so I can do a fair comparison from being NA to the SC.

Not bad at all considering how varied that one is setup for and the temp! If you ran E85 probably another 20 hp, but that curve looks super smooth telling me the injectors are doing their thing. Our pulls on the stock fueling were nearly as choppy as the innovate graphs due to stock fueling. Those DW700's are perfect for this kit.
As for the fuel pump, we are going to test further to see what's going on there. Looks like Jon's datalogs show it may not be needed with the 700's and E85 but we have to look at it further. Hopefully will have time tomorrow to go hunting in the fuel tank again and double check the hardware. Folks over at Deatschwerks had some great info so we'll pull the canister and double check some things. |
