No problem at all. I figured that you didn't see all of the details.

Maybe the cams have a bit to do with detonation? Remember the South Aftrical TSB was issued 4 months ago, so obviously Toyota has no corporate universal agreement to the problem. Subaru may have found the cause with the cam sensor shim, unfortunately it isn't a realistic procedure for most Subaru dealers to perform and obviously Scion isn't signing up for it.

I really wish that we weren't so in the dark with everything, and it is kind of disconcerting to see two manufacturers presumably do different things to try and combat the same issue...

I just want to buy my FRS, but I won't as long as these unresolved engine issues remain (seals, injectors, oil leak, stock tune is still garbage)....

What do this injectors and seals cost? Obviously I believe Subaru/Toyota should cover the costs but I haven't seen it mentioned.

I'm curious what will happen to guys who have through out the warranty with FI

Its been posted that the seals and gaskets required to be replaced when pulling the injectors are completely out of stock nation-wide and back ordered for months.

Yes I read that, I'm more curious as to the price of the parts.

You're not the only one. Early adopters expect this sort of thing, but there's an even larger number of consumers who watch what happens during the first or second model year and base purchasing decisions off those experiences. It will be interesting to see how widespread this becomes.

I don't currently have this problem. I'm at ~1400 miles and still on factory oil.

Once I change my oil should I drive the living hell out of this thing to make sure any problems arise during the warranty period? Definitely worried about this one.

We as owners really need to stick together here and do whatever it takes to get Toyota/Subaru to acknowledge and rectify this problem.

If you're concerned these issues will impact other owners, you need to file a complaint at the link below and make sure that they are all filed under the same category. It is these complaints that lead to recalls.

Car just threw P0351 - Ignition Coil "A" Primary Control Circuit/Open. The same CEL I got a couple of months ago right before I started getting firecrackers. Awesome.
