Hey, trip is less than 2 weeks away. So far it's the 14th of July in Sydney, where we're meeting. Sometime in the morning say at 9. If I can get a head count to see who's going, we can work out the final details.

Just wondering, are there a lot of police on the roads/highways in NS, NB?

Police are not nearly as present on Highways in NS and NB then they are in Ont and Qc, mainly because it's all RCMP jurisdiction and they are always undermanned.

I regularly cruise at 20 over the limit (110 on major highways) and I have never been pulled over in 7 years of driving here.

I didn't know the speed limit was higher, that's good news. I can make better time. As far as the police, in Montreal they are everywhere. The highway patrol as well as the locals, it's crazy!

Just stumbled upon this thread. Me and my buddy are taking my FR-S out to the cabot trail most likely July 20/21st or right abouts that time if anyone else wants to join us then! We will be leaving from Halifax. Have a safe trip guys and gals!

Seems to me that meeting up in Port Hawksbury would make more sense with people coming from Hali/out of province. I live in Antigonish myself.. I'd join you guys but I work Saturday night. I might go drive the trail tomorrow tho... only driven it in a prius (barf) before.

We can meet wherever is most convenient. I just said Sydney, cause it looked like there was only going to be 2 cars going, and it makes no difference to me.

The more people come the better it will be, it's not too late.

I'm excited for the trip down there. I've never been to Nova Scotia, and this will be the first big road trip with my car.

Don't speed on the 104. Radar traps and undercover cruisers with side and rear radar all over the place. Rcmp won't let you off with a warning. I'm a paramedic and the best I can ever hope for is a reduction to the minimum.
