I guess the weekend is the best time for local drivers...
I was planning on taking 1 week off work, but I need at least 1.5 days just to get down there. So Sunday afternoon would be good. I'd be good with any day of the week, I'm just looking for suggestions, what day(s) would be the best for you guys?
Everyone from Ontario or Quebec who's coming, do you want to meet me in Montreal, and drive together, or just meet in NB, NS? |

You can get to Sydney from Montreal in about 14 hours (17 in a blizzard). I've done it many many times.

Any updates on when? I need to know asap as I might be doing this trip sooner if I don't get a hard date from you guys.

July 14-20
I realised the last 2 weeks of July are the construction holidays. Would be a very busy time for traffic on the roads. The week of July 14 is perfect for me, and it's not too away, so there's not much waiting before we go!
The only question is what day is best for you guys? Sunday the 14 to Saturday the 20 is fine for me. Let me know |

I have nothing planned in the end of july. I REALLY wanted to do the cabot trail this year but most of my friends around here can't make it, so I'd definitely be there. However if it's during week time I might lose my passenger.

I'll probably pass if it's during the week. Have a safe drive though.

So Sunday the 14th then...
That works for me, I finish work at noon on Friday, so it's more than enough time for me to get to Sydney (or near the trail) by Sunday.

Do you want to do the trail "from" sydney in one day?
I just roughed this out, let me know what you think. https://maps.google.com/maps/ms?msid...b12a140d&msa=0 |

Looks good to me
I was thinking 1 day, it would be easier to get people to join that way. We can stop off during the trip, not 4-5 hours of straight driving. Also we can meet somewhere at the start of the trail, doesn't have to Sydney.

I'm actually located in Halifax, however I have a cottage in Port Hood which is on the Cabot Trail pretty much.
Ironically I'm going to Osheaga Music Festival in MTL the first week of August...and have the 25th July - 5th of August off work... I feel like I can make this work... |
