road trip

Hey everyone,
Lil update on my ride.... have just over 2k miles on the frs had many problems with ecu... on 3rd one.
I decided to put the car through a test and I loaded it up with my bowling stuff and made the cross state trek from davenport to Sioux city Iowa for state tourney.
Car did great it was pretty comfy for 5.5 hour drive. Avg 33.6mpg with cruise set at 77 with the air on medium.
I just may start trusting my car finally.
And just for fun I got passed by an frs with WI plates car looked good going by.

I drove about 5.5 hours yesterday also. I didn't get gas yet so I don't know what my gas mileage is (not driving it this weekend in NYC), but i drove about 330 miles and according to my dash, I used about 3/4 of the tank. Bumped into Hardrock4445 along the way too!

My girlfriend and I took a road trip to Myrtle Beach, SC from Downingtown, PA. I believe when everything was said and done, and we checked into the hotel my odometer read 550 miles or so. Took us about 10-11 hours with some stops along the way to stretch and fill up. Most of the trip was spent driving in the night so that we could get there in the morning and still have the entire day to make use of.

The drive itself was smooth and straightforward, with the help (sometimes) of the GPS. At times it enjoyed losing signal so we resorted to using an external GPS.

The drive was pretty long, and it is a small car so we really needed those rest stops to get the cramped, stiff feeling out of our legs. The seats are fairly comfortable, but they're not suited for such long drives.. Definitely aren't lazy boys, so they started to deal righteous fury unto our lower backs. We were pretty grateful to finally arrive.

I don't recall the MPG, but we didn't need to stop too, too often.

All-in-all, it was a great trip and the destination paid full dividends upon arrival. So, if you're considering a road trip in your FR-S, BRZ, 86 -- I say go for it!

Mine fits like a well broken in glove. 8-10 hr days for 2 weeks Seattle to San Diego and back.
Lots of side roads in between. About 4k miles overall. At about 6k now and still no problems.
Run strong like moose.

West Coast trip WA - CA april 2013

Did you experience any other problems with your navigation? Mine froze and when I switched to audio and switched back to the map, it was just a black screen and unresponsive. Good thing I knew how to get to my destination and knew I didn't to exit the highway. After a three hours, I stopped at a rest stop to restart my car to get my navigation working again and the same thing happened after half an hour or so. I restarted my car once more and manage to make it all the way to my destination within the hour.

I dont believe that was me. but we have quite a few FRS' in the QC for our size... only person ive stopped to talk to is a guy with a red 5ad kit from IL... i think the manager of an arby's has one to ive seen at 2 different arby's on different days.. hard coincidence.

the trip back was even better.. added a passenger and all his bowling stuff and my mpg went UP to 34.4mpg at 82mph... im assuming it was because i was traveling east instead of west.. lil wind help.

good times !
