Cabot trail road trip
 

Wondering if there's any interest in doing a road trip around the Cabot trail this summer. Sometime in July or August. I was planning on going, it would be cool if there were others with the BRZ/FRS who were interested. I'm from Montreal, so it doesn't matter where anyone is from, we can meet along the way, or there.

I was planning a trip there as well but would of been june 23 to 30th

Well Moncton would be a good place to stop for me from Montreal, then we could go from there. So "ottopilot", you'd be in no matter the day?

I'll get the dates soon enough, I just need to wait for 1 co worker to pick his vacation, then I can choose mine. I keep bothering him, so it should be soon.

It is awesome. I've seen quite a few moose, bears, and RVs on that stretch. ;)

I did an east coast road trip two years ago - hit most of the major cities out that way (Fredricton, Halifax, Charlottetown, etc.). Cabot was beautiful. I'd love to get out there again, just to go for the drive.

Two tips that I read of when I was there at Cabot - if you drive it counter-clockwise (which we did) you may hit less traffic as most go the other way (scared of the water or something). Another is late August to early September is a relatively quiet time, so you'll have less traffic overall to deal with (I was there first week of September just after labour day).

I will be on Prince Edward Island between June 24th and July 6th with my FR-S.

Would anyone be interested in an "event" while on the trip? There are Scion hosted events (cruises, etc) this summer as well as Autocross which would be a ball with a few of us.

I'm not sure on the scion events but here are the autocross ones.

I'm in! I dont have an frs though...

I'm from Cape Breton, now living in Halifax. I would be down to go sometime July / August. However, a heads up to those who havent been, July and August are peak tourisme months and you risk being stuck behind slow moving campers, cyclists, and Ontarians with their eyes on the ocean rather then the road (its ok we understand)

No need to have a specific car...
 

For sure everyone is welcome, you don't have to have a frs/brz. The more people, the better!

I heard that counter clockwise was the way to go also, due to less traffic, not sure about how busy it's going to be though. We can't really control that anyway, so not much in worrying about it. As far as those events go, I'd be in to check one out while I'm around there.

So far far the people interested are; Headlikeahole, mikal7, Thorpedo, ottopilot, engsr?

I'll try to get the dates set for everyone soon. Late August should be good, might be lower traffic like engsr said.

I'm interested too. Are we planning a weekend only event? I'm not sure if I'll have any vacation days available.

@Deadspool might be up for this as well.
