It should not. I can measure in the AM if you like.

And yes, I would choose 245/35 over 245/40. The latter is too tall.

If staggering, 235/40 on 8" front, 265/35 on 9" rear
If square, 245/35 on 8"-9" front/rear

Amazing thread ... Amazing help ... Amazing community

As a newb to the modifying scene, and a new FR-S owner, my question is as follows ...

I love TE37SLs ... but seems to be too many around and I'd like a bit of uniqueness to my new money sink and love, thus I'm wondering if these will fit and what would be the best tires for said combination:

Stock Suspension
Volk Racing G2 - 18x9 / 5x114.3 / Offset +50 on the front and rear
I'm guessing with 5 mm spacer on the rears?
235/35 or 245/35 rubber on all 4

Further question - with the 5mm spacer on the rear to push the wheel out, would I need a kit for the log bolts or would I have enough thread to handle the 5mm? This is a daily driver with tracking becoming more prevalent as mods are added.

Any input would be GREATLY appreciated!

^ Incorrect pcd. FR-S and BRZ are 5x100
Offset is a little high..

Therefore your +33 and +38 will also "fit". as they are only <5mm difference.

Car dropped 1" Tarmac Coilovers, 18X9 +40 wheels.

245/40 tire fits? I wanted 245/35, but the difference in price is BIG.

That tire should be around .6" wider than the stock 215/45/17 tire. With that wheel and offset, you have 17mm less inner clearance, BUT the Tarmac coilovers are going to be skinnier than the stock struts/spring perch. Just go outside and measure your clearance now to figure out what 17mm would do.

Ok, thanks for the advice.

245/40 is noticeably taller.

Compare 245/35 and 245/40 from your preferred tire manufacturer. You will see the difference in height. If you are OK with that, cool. :-)

PS for anyone else reading, it is imperative you understand we re talking about 18" wheel/tire.

For 17" a 245/40 is excellent on an 8".

I have an Fr-S and was thinking about getting the XXR 18 in. wheels. I was wondering if it would be a dumb idea to go with the +20 offset in the back and the +35 offset in the front. I want a wider look for my rear wheels an a flush look for the fronts. I will also be lowering the car 1 - 1.5 inches. Would that work or not? Anyone know?

Wheel width will determine if that offset is appropriate.
