By the time I got to the fourth page, I said to myself, what was this thread about again. I actually had to page back and re-read. I am pretty sure that this thread ended up going in an entirely different direction than the OP intended. All I can say is "wow".

Kudos for trying something different. Haters going to hate. Not sure if you were looking for the kind of feedback that you received. Here is something somewhat constructive though, perhaps inverting the colour scheme and making the tribal pattern red instead of the other way around.

I can see the whole platform heading down the Civic SI path. I do love this forum, and the platform. But being affordable, this is what going to happen. Have you seen someone put their Spoiler on Backward ?

Mitsubishi made tons of great cars in the 90's. I have a 99 Eclipse GSX (AWD turbo coupe) and, for me at least, that is likely the best all around car ever made (although it's getting old and obviously isn't perfect).

They did have troubles but I've never heard them declare bankruptcy. They've just been trying to restructure and go a different direction which could ultimately kill the company... who knows.

I agree. Mitsubishi is a Giant company. They are everywhere from Heavy Machinery to Refrigerator to automotive to jets...whatever.

I think the automotive department is trying to head toward EV and hybrid for Green technology.

There are rumor about the new Evo to be Hybrid, and of unique performance.

Check out there Outlander PHEV. That is one phenomenal product. I hope they can gain back what they lost soon. Otherwise, nobody care about Mitsu car anymore.

There is nothing wrong to know more about those cars you dont own. A pure enthusiast knows about most of the sport cars. They live, learn, read, talk about cars, race, track, autocross, modify. They specally dont "mine s better than your, dont care about, stfu, gtfo" stuff.

For a million time, those of "race me bro, mine s better" attitude are all kids 90% of the time. Mind telling me your age TRD-X ?

I have never expected less from this platform. Affordable to kids= childish owners. Similar to eclipse and civic platform, some of the mustangs as well.

Why i dont have one? I cant find myself enjoying it yet. Even though i understand what it does, because i do, so i am waiting for the turbo version of it.

Sports car to market. Based on narrow tires, razor sharp handling and a high revving 2.0 L engine in a balanced light weight package. It's well documented that they did not want a turbo charged engine. It's not about power.. It's about balance and feedback for the driver. Once you add more power.. Then the weight goes up along with necessary grip, brakes.. Etc.. And of course price..

Understand it is different than being practical for personal use. It is ok if they do not want to turbo charge it. I hear 2015 they might.

There are always other cars. For example, C7 corvette is well balanced, good handling, easy drifting as well. But expensive to maintain.

The main point of the FRS is not only about those you said above, which i agreed completely, it is about having fun with low cost maintenance. They hit it right on the head.

There are people who love after market turbo charge, and there are people who love stock turbo charge, like me. I only hope they do, if they dont, and when i can no longer wait, i can always consider other platforms

I wasnt ever concerned with comfort too much, the SRT8's are pretty stiff riding cars, especially the Charger (stiffest of them). A 315/35 does have a nice sidewall still, 4.6" iirc. It's the fact that the 315's I chose to run (Continential DWS) were $250 each that got to be tiresome, and they were on the cheaper side of pricing (UHP all season and higher treadwear). For two of those I can get a decent set of 4 for the FR-S... but hey... you gotta pay to play and when you're talking SVT, SRT or Corvette... you better bring your checkbook lol.
