Finally gave in

Well, I was planning on picking up a BRZ, but given the few serious issues that have been popping up on the 13's I decided to hold off a few years until the gremlins get worked out. Specifically the engine problems worry me since I planned to seriously mod the car almost as soon as I got it with a low boost turbo setup. So I went shopping for the closest thing I could find that was similar to it. Got myself an S2000 for the time being. I plan on getting a BRZ eventually, hopefully STI, but for now I'm very pleased with what I got.

Good call on the S2000 purchase. Those are super fun! Let's see some photos of it.

Thankfully I know how to downshift properly. I didn't realize that was such a big problem until I bought mine, but it is primarily on the AP1 (early models). The gates on the tranny are pretty close but its a very very nice transmission. Probably the nicest manual I have ever driven.

Is the version in the twins just as good? I understand its a similar model, but has anyone driven both trannies to compare?

Smart move without killing yourself on the wait... Thankfully, the FR-S was affordable enough for me to swallow the first year risk ($24,985), and then trade-up possibly for a 2015 MY...

Enjoy the S2000... It has always been a sports car that I have lusted after.
