I'm running it on both my street FRS and my Spec86 BRZ race car through the throttle body. The highest oil temp I've seen on track is 254F and that was 85F outside temp.

I prefer the throttle body...

This setup is not optimal as there would be flow only when the thermostat is open and it is bypassing the radiator.

There is a reason they put a plug on the block for oil cooler.
