Wiring Sub and Speakers in a 2016.
So I have done some research and it appears that the 2016 FR-S does not have preouts on the factory head unit. This is a bummer because someone told me the 2015 does. I decided just to go with an amp that has speaker level inputs for a subwoofer. But then I was thinking I'd also like to change out the rest of the vehicles poor speakers later down the line...
Is it possible to run a mono sub amp off the rear speakers and then later run a 4ch amp for some new components? Never dealt with multi amp setup without preouts. |

Yes. But it will be connected to the rear speakers. Sound levels may be hard to adjust. You can also try a line output converter.
