Fitment with -2 Camber and 1" Drop 18x9.5?

Morning All,

Please forgive me.. I've done plenty of searching but am still not confident in wheel/tire fitment and would rather ask than make a mistake:

I'm looking into Ambit RE02 18x9.5 (+38) or 17x9 (+38) wheels. I'm running -2 camber in both front and rear, with a 1" drop on lowering springs.

Should I expect any issues with fitment? Searching seems to suggest that -2 camber will help clear these things... but I'm just having trouble finding my exact setup.

Thanks in advance!

depending on tire size, you might rub a little bit against the spring or spring perch.

Would rubbing increase with additional negative camber (that would seem to make sense... but just checking)?

What tire size would you recommend if going with 17x9? 245/40/17?

Thanks!

you might get too close if you have more -2 deg camber up front. (rears are fine).

im basing my answers on my old setup when i had 17x9 +38 with 245/40/17 and lowered 1" on springs with -1.5deg camber (camber bolts).

with this setup i had zero rub, but i still only had a like 4-5mm space between my tire and the oem spring perch. if you can squeeze out -2deg camber, you should still be clear but itll just be even closer.

Great. Thanks for your response. I guess if worst comes to worst I can dial back the camber, or throw in a 5mm spacer!
