is the OBD2 Port on my dashboard universal?

Topic. female socket pins are bent in mine and we're going to try to avoid buying a new engine harness as claimed "necessary" by the dealer and they say I bent them, purchased car used so who knows.

Long story short i'm not taking them to court because its not worth my time.

Just wondering if i can use a universal 16 pin female connector with the stock wiring harness

Dealer is full of it has no idea what they're talking about.

The engine harness does not even include the OBDII plug on this car, it's on the body harness. It's connector DLC3 in the wiring diagram.

Yes a standard OBDII female plug will work, you can pull and re-pin the plug. Get the wiring diagrams (there's links on the forums) or just take a photo and replicate the wiring
