Android keeps disconnecting

I have a Samsung Galaxy S6 and for some reason the Bluetooth doesn't always pick it up when I get in the car, even though I have auto connect on. Also sometones qhen listening to music it just disconnects on it's own.

The phone is usually in my lap by the way.
Any advice would be great

Try deleting the Bluetooth pairing from your car and pair it again.

Does the phone get hot? My phone (HTC One M7) used to disconnect when it got hot, but now that I mount it right in front of the AC vents (with AC on), the bluetooth connection is rock solid.

I've never had a problem with it getting hot. Never thought of that, I'll try disconnect and reconnect first.

Having the same issue...did the recovery mode to wipe the bluetooth cache, deleted car from phone, phone from car, force stopped it in apps and cleared cache, tried everything short of completely resetting the phone which I'd like to avoid. Still disconnecting. Pretty annoying when I'm trying to make a call.

My older droid phone used to do this. I tried every fix suggested and could never make it work consistently. Got a newer model droid phone and never had the problem once.

My old Note 2 did this, my "fix" as I used a lot of bluetooth streaming was to push the button to select radio, then back to streaming mode. It would usually fix it for me, but it was VERY annoying. Since then I've had 2 new android phones and they work perfectly fine.

If the radio doesn't pick up the phone bluetooth at all on startup, then I could not find a way to fix that. Happened to me like once every 10 trips.

Side note, in my other car the bluetooth constantly disconnected until I got a different headunit. Certain headunit/phone combinations seem to have problems.

I'm having the exact same problem! Just started happening about a month ago. I have an HTC One M7.

Reset the headunit and still having problems. Any fixes?
