So many upgrades dont know where to start
So im in a dilemma i went to drift con yesterday and a vendor was offering a deal for a set of avid.1 av20s for 550 but im not on coils yet or have anything done yet. So im not sure if i should just save up to get coils and deal with stock wheels in the mean time. So do i go suspension or exhaust or wheels or lip kit... ughh the stress is killing me lol

Drive and enjoy is obviously too complicated, I couldn't pull it off myself...
Where do you want to go with the car? If that's not clear, keep saving. If it's clear, there is often a sequence that's relevant. If you need coils for clearance on the wheels you eventually want, then... save for good coils, LCA's, etc. For example, I decided I wanted to be the only reason I was losing at AutoX, so I got everything all at once (except that in truth, I didn't.) That reminds me, I think I have to pay the mortgage... C |

Haha exactly I cant just drive the car way too many things to do. Well I want bc br coils i wanted to do that first but i came up on a deal so through me off and even if i get the rims they will just sit in the house for the time being because i wont be home for a few months ill be out at sea.
so i was going to wait but in the mean time get a carbon fiber lip and do a tranny oil change because the shifting is clunky. Sent from my SM-N910P using Tapatalk |

I'm in the same boat as you. there's so many things I want to do to my car yet I need to budget myself lol. I overspent a bit due to my excitement of getting the car, but only noticed it after I looked at my CC statements
![]() just drive your car at a few events and every day to see what you think is most important to change out. the stock BRZ is pretty well sorted IMO.

I talked with him for a while. He said that he is the fastest twin that he has seen at the numerous tracks he races recently. In fact he said that at the last race TWO of the other twin drivers came up to him to get some tips and said "What in the hell have you done to this car to be so fast?!?". Both of these other drivers had extensive mods to the engine and suspension, but could not keep up with this guy. He told them "remove all of that crap from the car and learn to drive it FIRST!". He was 100% stock (except for tires) and he was driving circles around the other guys. The #1 most beneficial $$ you can spend on this car to go faster is seat time. Quit trying to outhink the engineers and just drive the car. |

#2 would be tires.
OP mentioning carbon fiber lip and lip kit means aesthetics is a priority. Get wheels and good tires. Performance and aesthetics. |

I'd visit the suspension forum before pulling any triggers.

What are you trying to accomplish with your upgrades?
If you're going to be a parking lot poseur, then I guess it makes no difference what order you go in. But if you have a specific objective in mind, then that will probably lead you logically to a particular path in building your car. Now, that all having been said, if it were up to me, I'd go drive the damned thing the way it is. Have some fun. Take a week and drive some curvy two-lane roads. Pack a weekend bag, grab your significant other, and go somewhere but skip the interstates. Maybe even hit up a track, if you're so inclined. But spend your money on experiences, not stuff. You've got a great little car just as it is. |
