programming Key to transponder

Anyone have hookups to someone that knows how to program newly cut keys to the transponder? My friend lost her corolla key and she down to one. Dealer charges too much to program. Thanks!

P.s. I've looked online but I only saw how to program the remote and not the key.

but.. the 2nd key didn't work so well because I broke the little rectangular ish transponder chip in an attempt to save the original key fob.

I went to a local lock smith down here he said reprogramming for my frs would cost 75 bucks. I found a website selling a spare key and transponder chip in it (valet key, going to take that chip from there xD [ignition key]) I'm currently researching on a DIY reprogramming of the transponder chip. hopefully it'll save me some money, if not it'll still save money since I already have the key/chip than have them reprogram if all fails than attempt again on my 2nd key fob.
