Mounting location for amb transponder?

I'm trying to figure out the best location for my transponder. Where have you mounted your transponders? Please post pictures.

Is it a battery powered or hard wired transponder?

Do you have any body work done?

I have the battery powered transponder and the car has no body work done. It is 100% stock except for a forester xt oil cooler.

On my S2000 I had it mounted in front of the radiator but that doesn't work for the FR-S. See the attached picture.

The FRS has a metal panel which may interfere with the signal... I'm thinking on the rear impact beam?

For W2W racing you'll want it as far forward as you can without being in an impact area where it'll get ripped off (as timing & scoring measures who crosses the finish line by transponder, not visually watching cars cross the finish line).

But for TT, just in a location where you can get a good read from the receiver.

I actually have mine mounted to one of the tow hooks underneath the front of the car. I have yet to have any issues with it coming off despite hitting the curbs hard and even a few offs.
