Is installing an oil cooler dificult?

So I recently ordered an Avo oil cooler with the thermostat for my car and I was wondering how long it takes to install one and if it's difficult to install or not?

I installed my first oil cooler recently. Is it difficult? No. How long it takes will really depend on how familiar with your car you are. I had never removed my front bumper up to that point... but now that Ive done it a couple times I can have that thing on/off in a flash.

All in all you will most likely spend a couple hours start to finish.

Pro tip: Make sure you torque everything down properly. Make sure your fittings are on straight and do not over torque em, as you can misalign things causing yourself leaks.

Haven't done it to this car in particular, but to add the great suggestions Juggles already said, be sure to check all the lines after you start the car for any leaks. Then drive around the block a bit without your front bumper cover, pull back into the driveway/garage, and re-check all your lines before re-installing your front bumper cover.

Not really - just time consuming. It is difficult if you don't have the proper tools.

I did my Perrin last week. The hardest part was removing the front bumper and finding a 27mm socket thin enough to tighten the oil filter bolt. Other than that, it was just time-consuming, but not too hard.

dunno how the avo kit looks but make sure the lines aren't rubbing up against anything sharp. after the initial install, test drive, and then recheck i would wait a few weeks to a month and then recheck everything again.

Would it be best that I use new oil for the install, or is the current oil ok

Its not hard, just make sure the fittings are super tight. I did mine and it leaked out of several. Other then that its pretty easy. If you never taken the front bumper off, that can be a PITA

Would I need to put in new oil beforehand?

I would do a fresh change. So empty old oil. Install cooler and then fill with fresh oil
