Installing a hood for the fr-s?

Im getting an Ams hood for the fr-s and was just wondering how difficult it was? It looks like the hing bolts are all i need to take out and remove the old hood and put the new hood on and put bolts back in. If im missing anything please let me know? Thanks

One word of advice. Use the bolts they provide in the hood. Do not try to use your OEM ones. I kept thinking I was stripping out the threads because it would go in and then stop half way.

Also use 2 people.

to install yes. To strip threads i dont know. I never ended up stripping mine. But I was very cautious.

easiest way to get the angle right is to have the hinges all the way up and then try to put the hood on that way.

3 may be even better.

2 to hold and 1 to put in the bolts

Nope everything is already there ready to just change out 4 bolts.

Now if you had hood pins thats your own doing and will obviously take time. Whether its required will be argued up and down.

Just a little hint: i dont have hood pins and just drove from Phoenix to 86fest and back and the hood didnt move. In fact it shakes less than the OEM hood did.
