1/2 inch of dead pedal

6MT
so i can push my gas pedal about half an inch before RPM start to climb.
I have OFT and flashed back to stock to see if that would help, it didnt.

The gas pedal kind of "re-settles" or "re-calibrates" over a period of time each time you flash the car. It is very annoying. There is a procedure to help this process go quicker, but I can't seem to find it at the moment.

Remember, the gas pedal is essentially just like the trigger button on a console controller now... And the ECU of the car has to relearn where 0 and 100% are after you flash the car and reset the learned values on the ECU.

edit: Here's one thread
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=39480

and post 6 on this thread describes what it is doing as well:

wells thats super annoying to hear.
i think this started when i cleared an engine code with torque while the car was on and just drove it straight after clearing.

on my OFT is shows that the throttle is at 1% with no rpm climb
lame

combing through those posted links now, thanks for those.

Before I got tuned, any time I would clear the code related to my catless header using the Torque App, it was the same situation. So I definitely understand what you're talking about. It would go away after a while, but still annoying.

any time you flash, reset battery / reset ecu (clear codes) you will get this condition.
