Shifter feels clunky when going into 5th
I have a 2015 BRZ series blue, it currently has about 2300 miles on it. Since yesterday i noticed that when driving and shifting from 4th to 5th the shifter feels clunky (like a heavy feeling). It does not happens in any other gear.
Im not really sure if this is a problem or its just the way it is. From what i remember, before (meaning since i had the car with 18 miles until now) i have not notice that heavy shifting from 4th to 5th. I felt pretty smooth on the past. Anybody can help me to see whats going on or how to fix? |

Usually the tough gear is second. Should be pretty smooth going from 4th to 5th. no grinding noise when doing this?

Good. They likely will say it's normal or they can't replicate it, which could be true. I'd just keep an eye/ear on it, i think most owners would say their transmission has just gotten smoother and smoother over time.

This. Transmissions wear in over time. Unless you're feeling significant resistance or grinding when going into gear or its popping out of gear, I wouldn't worry about it.

When im idle (stopped) and move the shifter to 5th gear, it feels a lot lighter. Seems like it only happens when im driving. Im not really sure if thats normal. |

Ive had this problem since I've had the car but mine grinds. It stopped during the winter but has definitely picked back up since its gotten warmer and keeps getting worse. I will probably end up going to the dealer
