Noises from passenger side door/window
I hear a noise coming from what sounds like the passenger side door or window. I hear it when driving over certain bumps on the passenger side. It's hard to explain but it sounds kind of like a squeaking/creaking/groaning. Almost like the window or door is not totally secure and rubbing against something. I don't ever hear this noise coming from the driver side door/window.
I know noises are extremely hard to diagnose without hearing them but I was wondering if anyone else hears anything similar. I looked through the forum and couldn't find anything that sounded like my issue. It might not be the door or window but I'm pretty sure that is where the noises are coming from. |

I get the same thing, even though my car is RHD I get the noises you described coming from the left hand side of the car.
At first I thought it was the loose seatbelt moving around and knocking on plastic but it isn't this. |

Yeah, it's not coming from the seat belt for sure. It's like the door is flexing due to the stress of driving over the bump. Have you modified your suspension at all? I have H&R Super Sports installed.

I had that sort of noise (best guess from a description) when it got really cold. Turned out my door latch moved a hair. A quick adjustment and noise was gone. May have to adjust again when warm but that will be a while.

I had the same thing. I took it to Toyota and they fixed it. I believe they said it was a TSB

I have noticed that the door does not line up evenly where it meets the front of the car. You can tell that the door and the panel are not flush with each other. And this is on the same side of the car where I am hearing the noise.
I know it's a bit difficult to see because the car is so dirty but you can tell that the driver side looks much more flush than the passenger side. And in person it is much more evident. Perhaps the noise is related to this. Either way I would like to get it fixed because it's a bit of an eyesore even if I'm the only one who really notices it. Does anyone think the dealer can/will fix this? My car is still under warranty. |

They should fix it no problem. Pretty easy to do yourself as well though.
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...5&postcount=68 Not likely the cause of your noise but worth a shot.
