Engine Temperature

Outside temperature seems to have very little effect on my FRS as it warms up, it seems to take at least ten minutes for the needle to get almost to the center. How about any of the FRS's out there? How long? Seems eccesive to me, I have a TC and a small pick up, both are normal after about 5 minutes?

That is about right. It is a pretty heavy duty cooling system for a relatively small engine so it takes a bit. On the plus side it helps a lot when it is hot out and you are pushing the car!

The heat will work sufficiently to begin warming the cabin in less than 5 minutes though and that's with the 3 mile long downhill start I have every day.

Dash gauge isn't the best way to gauge actual temperatures.

But it's close enough.

Takes my car about 5 minutes for the needle to come off the peg and reach the "C". Using Torque and/or TouchScan, that's 120-ish oil temp. I typically wait for that before I go.
