Engine oil standard operating temperature
I've looked through the manuals but I can't find the recommend max operating temps. Trying to understand when I should be concerned when tracking the car.
Thanks

When the engine oil temp climbs up to 100 degree celcius, you start to lose power.

I believe normal is between 90-100C. I would start worrying if it gets above 120C and seriously consider getting an oil cooler.

On track I'd guess the stock car is 270-300 all day long based on similar cars.

Same question as above. On the block there is one space for a sensor. other sensor will go below the oil filter in a sandwich. So which sensor on which position?

I easily could hit 270F (100% stock) after a day of tracking in 80F weather. This was with 10min~avg sessions with 15min cooldowns between drives... rinse and repeat as many time until sun-down.
The car will start to pull timing after the oil hits 220F. Before tracking her, go switch to a heavier oil. 0w20 is fine for daily grinds but, it loose's it's pressure when it gets past 240F.
