Fiebruz BPB installed: Running rich?

I have recently installed the Fiebruz BPB's but don't have a tune I can use for them on my OFT as I have an A00G rom and have to adapt everything to suit so have still been using the Stg 2 UEL tune that I had before.

I had noticed my fuel economy get noticeably worse over the last month and during a dyno day about a week ago the guy doing the runs said I was running rich across the entire rev range

I check to make sure all the bolts were tightened down correctly incase there was a slight leak, but no difference. Short of modifying the tune, what other steps can anyone recommend and has anyone else experienced this?

Cheers
Rob

Use your oft to log your engine parameters.

read links below on logging and maf scaling.

are you running latest V2.062 tunes from oft download site.

see if your running high Long term fuel trims (LTFT) and check your AFR against the values in the Open loop fuel table for your tune.

check all the vacuum lines under manifold and gasket on maf sensor.

I can't make head or tails of a log yet but I'm gettign there.

Not running the latest V2.062 tunes yet as I didn't know they existed so will download them and adapt it to the BPB as per Shiv's post in another thread.

All physical checks were done on the gaskets and seals. All good there

I will upload the new file and run a log once it is run in to see if there is any change

You need to modify the tune to run our fuel, and not with the changes shiv posted in post 1 of that bpb thread.

2.062 is exactly the same as 2.06

Two very important questions.

1) How much experience does the guy at the dyno have with tuning this platform? These cars make more power running much richer than people would typically run N/A engines.

2) Have you logged commanded AFR, actual AFR, STFT and LTFT? If not, get a good log of that (3rd gear 2500rpm to redline if you can, if not get 2nd gear). Once you have the log, upload it to datazap.me and post up the link.

the stg 2 UEL kills low end power when paired with BPB's, I tested both the BPB Stg 2 and the non BPB.

With the Stg 2 UEL non BPB, I lost about 8tq on the low end, while the BPB tune kept the low end tq the same as with the stock tune, but had gains from 3K up.

That could be part of the reason your milage sucks.

Honestly, I didn't like the OFT tunes, so I'm back on the stock tune and waiting till I can afford a custom ecutek tune
