Question about tire installers.

Just wondering if anyone had some issues with any tire shop mounting tires on your aftermarket wheels. Just bought some XXR 527 18x8.75 +35 and i'm worried that if i order a 225 tire, discount tire wont mount them for the tiny bit of stretch. Thanks.

Don't go to Discount Tire first off, they actually over charge on their prices for both services and tires, even though they advertise to the contrary, my first car I went shopping for new tires and they wanted an extra $50 per tire compared to the small shop I went to after. Never have done business with Discount.

Any mom and pop shop will be better in both customer service and price. The place I go has free wheel rotations, balancing and flat fixing for as long as I have the tires from them and they actually know their wheels and tires compared to discount sales people who only know pictures and online descriptions.

Discount should be able to I had no problem getting 225's on my 18x9.5 and they aren't that hard to get on, I have 235's on my 18x9 right now they aren't even "stretched"

Thanks for looking out but i'm not buying the tires from them, just going to have them mount and balance.

Mom and pop places will cost less and will be more willing to mount wheel/tire combos that are a little mismatched in width.

I used Discount Tire once recently for mounting due to convenience (literally across the street from me) but wasn't happy with the price. For what I paid, I'd rather take it to Carroll Shelby Enterprises and have the same guys who service NASCAR events do my tires They only accept loose wheels/tires but you will not find a better set of hands for your stuff.

I've easily had at least five trips to a tire shop just this year alone.
