Part Shop Max X Whiteline Endlink Rub

So I have the Part Shop Max Pro coils and whiteline endlinks up front with stock sway bar. I was adjusting my height when I noticed the marks on the endlink.
Here is a picture of it at full lock:


I'm thinking that if I add more negative camber or remove the washer from the endlink part that connects to the sway bar and adding that washer to the one that connects to the coilover it will fix the rubbing but I haven't tried it yet.
Does anyone know why this might be happening? Like endlink length maybe?

The coils are maxed low with all the collars still and I'm not really that low so I don't think that would be the problem

The thing thing i see is that your links are set to full short. I think you should shorten the link by the same amount you have dropped. I have my end links 1" shorter than oem and work just fine. Try increase their length by 1/2". These things move in weird ways and the length may have a big impact on the way they articulate.

Pretty helpful photo, what kind of coilovers do you have?
I'm going to try and extend the endlinks tomorrow and Ill let you know the results. What is your ride height like compared to mine?

Im running ST coilovers, and i'm dropped about 1.5" across, probably less than you since you mentioned you were all the way down. Best of luck, let me know how it goes.

So you're saying they bind because of the coilovers? Is what i picked up from that link you posted.

Wow I read about how salva removed his seat bars but I didn't know that it had to do with this. I guess I'm just going to take off my endlinks and sway bars for now. Thanks for you help guys

im saying they bind because its a dumb design. honda put the ilnks on the strut like this with the 2012+ civics too. i dont know why they dont just link to the lower arms like they have on billions of other cars.

starting to think i will just weld a stud on my sock arms and call it a day.

That'll work ,this way we dont have to be getting different length endlinks..

Will it be worth welding the stud? Apparently it may handle better without the sway bar so I think I'm going to keep mine off and drive with it for a while

I drove without it for a day and the car didn't seem to have that much roll, It actually had a smoother less resisting steering feel to me.

you guys would seriously rather drive without it all together instead of fixing the problem?
thats like saying "oh my vision was getting blurry so instead of getting glasses i just had my eyeballs removed."

The car will almost always drive better with sway bars. The issue comes when you start drifting it. It drifts better without the factory endlinks attached. It's a dumb design that causes the links to bind resulting in poor self steer and response.

With normal driving (or rather, stuck driving) it's better with sway bars attached. With drifting, it's better without it, unless you have modified the LCA to attach the end links.

Powered by Max or Parts Shop Max is working on lower arms that relocate the links to the arm instead of the strut. just like i had in mind...
