Windshield scratches

Hi I didn't know where to post this so sorry if it's the wrong place. Bassicly I had a paint defect on the roof of my brz and I had the dealer look at at it they went ahead and fixed it . But when I got my car back there was a bunch of fine scratches on the front and rear windshield and paint scrathes around the car . They have told me that the only way to fix it would be to replace the windshield and are kind of giving me the run around about it . So my question is if there is anything that can fix fine scratches on the windshield so that it doesn't have to be replaced . Only have had the car for three months and have 1200 miles on it . Thanks

If they caused it, they should fix it. There's really no way around it unless you want to polish the glass.

You may be able to find a glass or body shop that could polish it for you. There are DIY kits out there, but I've never tried it.

If dealer is taking care of it, just let them.

You should take pictures and show for proof and reference.

And define small scratches? Actual gouges into the paint, or small cobweb swirls and surface defects?

If its cobwebs and small surface scratches, they can easily be fixed with a DA polisher, compound, and a good detailer, a full exterior detail (wash, clay, polish, wash, wax) shouldn't cost more than a couple hundred for the size of this car.

Also a wax with lots of polishing oils (Gold Class Wax) and heavy glazes like Meguiar's #7 can really help hide small defects. Also I think RainX 2-in-1 Cleaner / Protectant can also help hide small defects on your glass too.

It's at the dealer right now so I can't post pics but there not gouges just look like surface scratches idk how to describe it . But my main concern is that it sux that the whole thing has to be replaced for little scratches that from what people are saying can be fixed
