OFT and inspection in NYC

Hey guys I have to take my car to get inspected tomorrow. Should I flash back to stock tune or can I leave my stg2 el e85 tune? I have a full tank of e85 that I dont want to waste. I also have a muffler delete do you think they will give me crap about that?

Hey you should be fine leaving your car tuned to E85, but I would suggest removing your header and any other aftermarket parts like exhaust, intake etc... Since more than likely it will be a visual inspection. Hope this helps bud.

Here in Mass I am running a carless header with the OFT. They do not do a physical inspection and they do not do a sniff test. They simply connect to the OBDII and check that way. I passed my first inspection with ease a few weeks ago.

That's interesting and I've been wondering how this would pan out. I know in NJ they no longer do a tailpipe test either, so this is encouraging.

You'll be fine in NY. Don't say anything. "Here's my keys, I need an inspection." All FR-S' are 2013+ so it's only a Safety Inspection this year anyways, no OBD2 inspection till next year.

I could see them whining about the muffler delete, but nothing else.
