How wide can I go with the stock rims I'm thinking about 245/45 or 235/45 will it fit without in issues.

A 225/45 is a safe bet I'd say. But you might be able to slap a 235/40 (note, not a 235/45 because that's too tall) but it might be a bit balloony, especially if you get a tire that runs wide. Also, 235/40 is a rare, relatively expensive size, and depending on if you want a specific tire or not, you probably won't find it. Get a 225/45.

Why put a wider tire on if at stock power? Also why use stock rims if you have more power?
A 205/45/17 would be cheaper and save a few pounds too. Stock tires for me were bridgestones and 27k miles in they're toast. I like the stock rim look and plan to keep them but they are a bit heavy and the tire selection for them stock was a joke. Add some front negative camber and stickier stock sized tires and you will probably be happier than going with wider tires all around. |

A 225/45 on the stock wheels will cause a 1.3% error. You will be doing 60.8 when speedo says 60.
