How wide and aggressive on stock tires?

Looking at replacing the stock wheels for now, how wide and aggressive can I go on stock tires? Interested in a set of Pro Race's to repalce the stock wheels.

you can technically go as wide as you want, but I wouldn't go wider than an 8, and that's stretching it.

I would just get new tires while you're at it, the stock tires aren't great at anything.

I've seen 195-50's stretched over 10" wide rims...I wouldn't advise it though. The "skateboard" look was big on minitrucks in the late 80's.

For the stock 215-45's, I wouldn't go wider than an 8" rim.
