Reminder to leave traction control on if you're a n00b
![]() Lost control and hit a curb 2 weeks ago. Learned today it's going to be another week. Ughhhh I miss this car so much.

Sorry to see this happen. What are the specifics of the situation that led up to this? I've been getting an itch to hoon my FRS and have become more and more tempted to start driving without TCS/VSC on. Maybe your story can help save my car and others' cars by discouraging us from turning off the nannies.

Maaaaaaan I almost had the same thing happen to me a few days ago. In my case, I was on a good old back country road and came around a corner to some gravel on the road from a drive way. I was able to get around it in time, but if I hadn't I would have hit a nice big ol'ditch on the other side of the road. Sorry to hear about the wreck Brotha, my passengers would have seen a grown man cry if I had ended up in that ditch on Sunday. |

lol how did you loose it in a stock BRZ on a dry day?? Sorry don't mean to be a ****, seem like you learn ya lesson. Remember, practice, practice, practice- in an empty lot where you can't hurt none including yourself.
The first thing I do when I get in mine is turn out the TC, I call it the fun button. :P |

If you live in an area that sees snow, I definitely recommend turning TC off in an empty parking lot and get a feel for what to do (or what not to do).
Fwiw I turn off TC first thing everyone I get in the car... I actually find TC disconcerting when it kicks in. More predictable handling with it off. Haven't lost control because I don't kick the pedals mid corner. Sent from my SGH-I747M using Tapatalk |

I definitely feel your pain. I have also learned this lesson the hard way... My good ole Honda days in the past taught me NOTHING about RWD!!! Not to mention the fact that I had been on SO many mountain roads here in Colorado that I was feeling really comfortable with the back end slipping around a bit. Everything was fine, until I tried to force the backend loose.. then it all went to shit.
Hope you get her back soon! |

The only time I turn it off is when getting the car moving in the winter. Then I turn them back on haha
I am sorry you had too much 'fun' in your baby. I hope she makes a full recovery. |

What's the holdup? 3 weeks to fix some suspension components seems like a long time.
