had my frs for two weeks..this is what happens

happened on Sunday on the way to Huntington beach for the US Open. Bumper to bumper traffic and some idiot who "was distracted by the beach" wasn't paying attention and rear ended me, causing my frs to fly forward and rear and the back a jeep and its spare tire. Good thing all parties involved have insurance and i'm not paying a dime..but it still sucks to only own this car for two weeks and this happens! Hoping theres no internal damage

D*mn, that sucks man. if the hit was that hard I am assuming the back is pretty bad also? I would think the insurance company might just write it off and you'll get a new one (again lol)

If the Insurance company doesn't write it off, make sure you insist on 100% OEM parts to repair your car with!

Good luck with this!

That is sad. I think I have heard about 8 or 9 that have been crashed or involved in accidents so far. That is only the ones we hear about on here.

that totally sucks and I agree you should be able to get a new one...

edit: the only positive thing about these accidents is that from seeing how the car crumples you can tell the cockpit is safe

I think the folks at Hyundai put a curse on us or something...

Sad to hear about this, but I hope you come out on top and get back to carving up canyons soon!

seems like very few accidents very actually caused by the frs/brz owners. i might keep mine in the garage for a few weeks just to weather the storm

Ouch! Remind me of what happened to my RSX. Some dude was not paying attention and shortened the car about a foot and a half. Have been super paranoid about cars driving behind me ever since that happened. Hope insurance takes care of you!
