Angry Another 8 weeks!!

Just got news on my already 1 day late Scion FR-S, that they're short on cars. They've decided to add another 8 weeks minimum to the arrival of it!

Is there any way to get compensation for this in Canada? Kind of really unhappy.

I just want u to think about it.. waiting on it is kinda good it gets u excited and ur not putting miles on it. On the other hand gives u more time to save money for mods or even to pay it off. Im happy for u but 8 weeks is going to be a long time. I waited 6 and it was stressful. But dont worry u will get threw it

Honestly, what should you be compensated for? It sucks you have to wait on it, but it gives you more time to save money. Maybe the dealer could give you something, like free mud flaps or another accessory. But it would be a customer service thing, not out of obligation. I would, but that's just me.

I am HOPING that my BRZ gets delayed. I know thats terrible seeing as everyone is desperate for theirs (I DO want mine badly) BUT I don't plan on winter driving and so far est. date is november. If it does get delayed it saves me a ton of money and gives me the pleasure of being able to drive it all the time (if it comes in the spring). Delays aren't always bad.

Waiting sucks!

I've been waiting since April for my BRZ. It will probably get here in the middle of winter, with summer tires on it

I know what you are going through... I still have to wait another 4-6 weeks for mine also! The shitty part is, my current ride was totalled. I now have to ride my motorcycle in the cold Wisconsin rain (50's and rainy) for the next 4-6 weeks.

would you rather wait on a car a few more weeks and save your money, or get the car drive it for a few days and wait several weeks for repairs while making payments on it stuck in a loaner?

not bashing just saying...I waited 4 months, got it, day one had cel prob now have to wait for parts while my awesome car is sitting at the shop...and they gunnipig while I write checks and cant drive it.

your compensation is not getting a lemon.

That's true, plus you will have more time to decide what you would like to add to the car before you get it. I am still about 4 weeks away, but reading through these forums everyday changed my mind about a lot of what I want to do with the car. I am happy with lowering it an inch and getting 19's on it. Plus saving money for other aftermarket parts is a plus with waiting. Patience my friend.

I am in the same situation I am making payments on a car I am not driving and being told that they have no ETA on when the parts will be in to drive the vehicle.

When I sold Toyota we had people waiting 6 months to get a Prius paying over sticker and a smile ear to ear when they picked it up. It sucks you need to wait for the car but be happy it isnt costing you money.
