2015 FRS spring rates?
There are links to two journalist articles in the FRS general topics in which both authors find the 2015 FRS to be less tail happy.
Scion says the suspension has been tuned and the rear shocks have been altered. I'm wondering if Subaru/Toyota decided to fit the same springs to the FRS as are already under the BRZ, especially since Subaru has made no announcement about the 2015 BRZ having retuned suspension. |

Sorry, haven't got the answer but just something to add to the discussion.
Our 86 and GT86 had different spring rates from your FR-S and the BRZ was different again. I heard that the FR-S had the firmest rear springs of the 86, FR-S and BRZ. It may be that you are getting the springs we have in the rear of our 86 and GT86 rather than the BRZ springs. That would mean a slight softening of the rear and less tail happy. May also be that the springs remain the same bit the changed shocks have the impact.

No idea - the following is the only (semi-)specific info I've come across.
From the current issue of Car and Driver (September 2014): "...the real changes [to the 2015 FR-S] are a stiffened front suspension and retuned rear shocks that supposedly curtail body roll. We found the setup darn good before, and it had the bonus of a smoother ride than the BRZ, so hopefully the chassis tune is untarnished." "[the 2015 BRZ gets] new dampers at all four corners." |

i dont know about the FRS but the 86 gets retuned shocks all around. a few people in japan have ordered them through the dealer and are already running them. theyve all pretty much said they have increased ride quality, while still maintaining the stiff sporty feel. the reviews were just forum talk and probably not very track orientated drivers. so far im the only 86/brz ive ran into at the track with stock dampers.

I'm also interested in an answer to the new "tuned" suspension specs as compared to the '13-'14 frs models. I'm looking to get a set of swift springs, but I don't know wether to get the frs spec or brz spec springs because I'm not sure which would suit the cars dampers the best.

Will Toyota or Subaru eventually release the spring rates for their 2015 cars?
