Door struts?

I've been wondering if it would be possible to get a door strut that would slow down the door shutting or help hold it open a little longer? It could make getting out of the car much easier.

Sometimes at an incline it's hard to keep the door open when I'm getting out of the car, especially if I've got a drink in one hand. Today I was cleaning the seats from the passenger side and when I tried getting out the door but didn't hold it open and closed down pretty hard on my shin and now ive got a bruise.

a door stop retainer they're calling it

"For the first time on a Porsche, the door stop retainer holds the doors infinitely in any position desired, enabling the driver and passengers to enter and exit the car conveniently, comfortably and without the risk of damage even in the tightest and most confined parking positions.
