Washing my car!

I don't have any pictures or anything because I wasn't thinking about taking them but I do have pictures from the first time I washed my WRB BRZ

But this time I washed my car again and I don't know if any of you all have this issue but my front bumper and my hood almost ALWAYS has either bird shit all over it or bugs all over it.

That was I think the 3rd or 4th day I got my car from the dealership and wow it looks amazing. Of course pictures don't do it justice but wow.

Now this is my first car wash that I washed with a friend of mine and I spent FOREVER on the hood and the front bumper area.

Now today I just finished washing my car and I'm disappointed with myself you can't really see the left over marks of the bird shit but when I look up close you can see it just a little bit and it just bothers me so much because I been trying to take it off and it just won't come off.

Basically I'm asking all you 86 owners out there, what is the best solution to get rid of all the bugs and bird shit. The products I have used is the RainX Bug and Tar which I sprayed the hell out of my front bumper and hood and let it sit for a while and then I used the microfiber sponge (wet of course) to get rid of it, it all looked like I got rid of them all but after I dry it all up I see some remains of them left

Other products I used: Meguiar's Ultimate Wash and Wax

RainX Bug and Tar Removal
Turtle Wax : Super Hard Shell Wax Liquid

Update: So I washed my car again over the weekend, since it was father's day weekend I washed his car so I was like I might as well wash mine so I just thought I'd post some more pictures of my car.

It's a great product!

What you have are etchings in the clear coat that were caused from the bird shit. Only way to remove them is to polish them out. Always carry a little kit with you to remove shit on site. It can ruin the paint in an instant, especially in hot sunlight.

How to remove:

Also, I'm sure you already caused some swirling with the way you have tried to remove the marks. Strong pressure is never recommended when washing a car, it's standard practice to follow these types of steps for a proper wash:

man...that's one helluva deep shine on that car! Even I don't do that good of a job..haha

See link above from Turbo95eg6

Tip for the future: chuck some microfiber clothes and a bottle of detailer/spot cleaner plus a bottle of water in your car so if you spot any bird poop, tree sap, get it off asap because if left too long, it can eat your clearcoat or be a bitch to get off. If you get thirsty you can always drink the water!

It's very important to remove bird droppings ASAP before they damage the clear coat or paint. I always give my car a quick check when I get home. I usually have some leftover ONR in a pump spray bottle from my last wash. Quick detailer works also. A quick soaking of the area followed by a gentle wipe with a microfiber towel removes most of the bugs and bird droppings. Dried on droppings may require several soakings.

Big fan of meguiar's products, except for their Wash and Wax. That product left residue on the fake plastic vents and made it look more oxidized and dried. I'd recommend using just their regular soaps instead for washing a brz.

Meguiar's Gold class wash is great in the bucket.
I use Maxi suds II in the foam gun and gold class in the bucket.
The Maxi suds in the bucket doesnt feel as lubricated as the gold class.

A good carnauba wax product applied to the front bumper every couple months will make the bugs a lot easier to clean off. It's also easier to remove them immediately after driving rather than letting them bake on the surface.

Okay, is there a certain model that I should buy, I'll probably spend at most 120-130 bucks on one but I'm sure I could find one thats like less than 100 bucks.

But my real question is that after I buy it, can I just use something like Meguairs Wash and Wax or Gold Class Wash or do I have to buy a whole new wash detergent thing.
